Mid-weight to Senior Interior Designer

Location: Farnham, Surrey

Work Pattern: Full time, 37 hours a week

Working Hours: 9:00am to 5.00pm (Monday-Friday)

We are seeking a new Mid-Weight to Senior Interior Designer to join our flourishing interior design and architectural Studio based in Farnham, Surrey.

Required Skills:

• Must possess strong technical drawing Skills and be able to demonstrate these confidently.
• A very good working knowledge of Vector Works with experience of EstiMac an advantage.
• Ability to work in a high-pressured environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Computer literate: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for Mac.
• Excellent time management skills – personal and as a team member.
• Experience of running large-scale projects in the high-end residential sector.
• Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and visual. The job will involve dealing with clients or suppliers, either in person or over the telephone. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is also important.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, on multiple projects.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• A great eye for design and colour, with good 3D and spatial awareness.
• Ability to create and develop conceptual designs that would seamlessly integrate with our portfolio including the skill of using colour and texture with great attention to detail.
• Excellent design and space planning skills.
• Exceptional conceptual and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas through the use of hand sketching.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E suppliers (e.g. furniture, fabric and wallpapers, lighting, flooring, bathroom sanitaryware and suppliers etc).
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Managing projects independently or as part of a team.
• Preparation of detailed and accurate drawings, designs, plans and schemes.
• work on projects from concept through to completion.
• Taking responsibility for multiple projects from concept through to installation and styling.
• Producing accurate schedules for manufacturers.
• Sourcing and specifying products in line with set client budgets but not least, furniture, fittings & materials of the highest quality.
• Producing comprehensive and professional branded mood boards for presentations to clients.
• Keeping up to date with design trends and new developments within the design industry
• Liaise with clients and manage on-site installation.
